They're growing so fast!!

Clayton and I took the girls to get their ears pierced today!! They weren't begging to get them pierced, but we took them anyway. Today was weigh-in for the Washington County fair, so I got up at 5:30 (on a Saturday!!!). We caught Big Dis (the pink one) really easy, but not Little Ann!! We had a little bit of a pig rodeo trying to catch her! We were on the road by 7 and in Hillsboro about 40 minutes later. We met the nicest people while waiting in line for about an hour! It was a lot of fun to chat with the other 4-H parents and for the kids to hang out together. Big Dis weighed in at 75 lbs which is the high end cut off. Whew-I'm glad she made it!! Anne weighed 62 lbs which is just fine! Clatyon's having a great time!

The Double Mint Twins

These are baby quilts for my friend Brian. His wife is due with twins at the end of the month. It was super fun to do two quilts at the same time with the same fabrics. I did piece together one of the back pieces with flannel I already had. Congrats Brian!! I can't wait to meet your cuties!!

He's Legit!!

Clancy's getting his picture taken for his driver's permit!! Congratulations! Now he gets to log in all his driving hours. Clayton is excited to have "bro time" in the car. I told him it will be a while before they can just head off together...wonder what he has in mind?
I know the picture is really bad. I took the picture with my phone and the woman behind the counter yelled at me for taking pictures inside DMV. This other lady waiting for her picture to be taken said, "Relax, she's just proud of her kid." Dang straight!!

Now that's slippery!!

This is why we didn't have school today!! It's just so cool to see everything outside ensconced in ice! Big chunks kept falling from the trees, hitting the shop roof and making a lot of noise--I'm glad I stayed out of their way! While the boys and I were out doing chores the temperature went from 33 to 41!! We were out for about 45 minutes so the warm-up was pretty quick. I'm a little disappointed, though. If we still had ice tomorrow and school was once again canceled, then we would have 6 days off!! Well, one can only dream...
